Job summary

NorthStar Equipment Rentals in Calgary is hiring a Driver to safely load, unload, and transport rental equipment to customer sites. You will perform daily inspections, maintain accurate paperwork, and communicate with the Order Desk to ensure on-time deliveries and returns.

The role requires a Class 3 license with air brakes (Class 1 preferred), a high school diploma, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safe and courteous operation of NorthStar Equipment Rentals vehicles and equipment.
• Complete daily inspections of equipment and communicate concerns with the Order Desk.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and constant communication with the Order Desk.
• Secure all loads and adhere to provincial and federal regulations and standards.
• Ensure timely deliveries and returns of tools and equipment.
• Complete customer paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintain a clean and safe delivery-related vehicle.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns to Management.
• Tow trailers, including loading and offloading equipment.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager, including organizing and warehouse tasks.
• Represent NorthStar Equipment Rentals professionally and respectfully.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Position Description

Northstar Equipment Rentals is hiring a Driver in Calgary. This role will be responsible for the loading and unloading of the NorthStar Equipment Rentals delivery truck, transport of all rental, sales, and miscellaneous materials to and from customer work sites. In a safe and professional manner.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Safe and courteous operation of NorthStar Equipment Rentals vehicles and equipment
• Complete daily inspections of equipment and communicate any concerns with the Order Desk
• Maintain accurate paperwork and constant communication with the NorthStar Equipment Rentals Order Desk
• Responsible for securing all loads and adhering to all Provincial and Federal regulations and standards set by the Department of Transportation
• Responsible for timely deliveries and returns of tools and equipment
• Accurate and legible completion of customer paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe delivery related vehicle
• Communicate all vehicle maintenance concerns to Manager
• Towing trailer, including loading and offloading of equipment
• Perform additional job- assignments as directed by Manager including but not limited to organizing, sorting, and other warehouse duties.
• Represent NorthStar Equipment Rentals in a professional and respectful manner
• Adhere to NorthStar Equipment Rentals’ policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid class 3 Drivers License with air brakes a clean driver abstract is required - preference will be given to those with a class 1 drivers license
