About The Role

On-site/Casual

This position is responsible for carrying out administrative functions, including but not limited to directing calls, tracking messages, completing and filing paperwork, and uploading files to a centralized database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding the requirements of Ontario Regulation 248/03.
  • Monitoring the Dashboard in GEL for client threshold breaches.
  • Providing verbal and written notifications as required by client regulatory bodies.
  • Uploading parameters daily to DWIS and LRMA.
  • Assisting Project Managers.
  • Notifying the Drinking Water Program Manager of policy violations or issues.
  • Following established procedures and maintaining organized records.
  • Observing safety regulations and complying with ALS policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

  • Excellent English communication skills (auditory, verbal, written, reading).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with confident computer skills.
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills with minimal errors.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a lab environment is an asset.

Physical Demands

  • Manual dexterity for data entry.
  • Reaching with hands or arms.
  • Sitting at a desk for general office work.
  • Possible exposure to unpleasant odours.
  • Availability for day, afternoon, and weekend shifts, as ALS operates 24/7.
