Job summary

Eataly is seeking a Pastry Cook to transform high-quality ingredients into delicious Italian pastries using our recipes and standards. You will report to the Pastry Sous Chef and the Pastry Chef, contributing to a kitchen that values craft and precision.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and weekend onsite work. Prior pastry experience and basic math skills help you measure portions and support production with consistency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pastry preparation experience required.
• Basic math and measuring skills required to portion ingredients and scale recipes.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary culinary arts training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and portion controls; adheres to health regulations.
• Washes and cleans utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Performs other duties as required by the Pastry team.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations
• Washes and cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a pastry preparation position
• Basic math and measuring skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use a burning oven, commercial stand mixer and other pastry baking equipment

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $20.00-$21.00 hourly
