Smith's Gastropub in Vancouver is hiring a Door Host to welcome guests, enforce age restrictions, and help manage crowd flow in our Gastown location.

You will maintain a professional demeanor, coordinate with bartenders and staff, and support a fun, fast-paced team. Previous hospitality or security experience is a plus, and Serving It Right certification is welcome.

Formación

• High-School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with local liquor laws; Serving It Right certification is a plus.
• Hospitality or security experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

Smith's Gastropub is currently hiring a Door Host for our lively bar in the heart of iconic Gastown. If you are looking for a fun working environment with awesome customers and coworkers then this may be the perfect role for you!

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Warmly greet all guests entering the premises
• Check IDs and enforce age restrictions in accordance with liquor laws
• Manage guest flow and help prevent overcrowding
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor
• Handle situations involving intoxicated or unruly patrons calmly and respectfully
• Communicate with bartenders, servers, and management as needed
• Keep entrance area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Familiarity with local laws regarding alcohol service (Serving It Right certification is a plus)
• Previous experience in hospitality or security is an asset
• Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weekend nights (Friday/Saturday) per month
