Job summary

Ottawa Humane Society is seeking a Coordinator: Stewardship to support donor recognition and stewardship programs. The role includes maintaining the development database, tracking donations, and coordinating donor communications.

You will research best practices, create materials, and help deliver donor tours and events while supporting volunteers and staff in a fundraising environment.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in fundraising is an asset.
• Minimum of one year's experience supporting donor stewardship.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge database preferred.
• Experience working with and managing volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support donor recognition and stewardship plans and activities.
• Ensure the accuracy of the development database, donations and receipts.
• Track and support foundation and corporate giving.
• Research stewardship best practices and opportunities for donor recognition and retention.
• Assist in developing communication materials for the stewardship program.
• Develop queries, metrics and tracking to monitor program effectiveness and donor stewardship.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, including donor tours.
• Support relationships with donors and community partners.
• Maintain and coordinate donor stewardship resources.
• Assist with development events as required.
• Support coworkers, volunteers and students with orientation and training.
