Job summary

Canadian Blood Services in Saskatoon is seeking a Regular part-time Donor Centre Representative to join our Collections team. You will greet donors, confirm and rebook appointments, and respond to questions, delivering an outstanding donor experience.

Shifts vary (days/evenings/weekends/holidays) with travel for mobile events within communities. The role requires high school completion and customer service experience; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school.
  • One year of experience in a hospitality or customer service-oriented environment or previous experience working with volunteers would be considered an asset.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is an asset and enhances the quality of donor interactions.

  • Keep operations running seamlessly by preparing workstations, setting up computers and printers, printing schedules, and updating the online booking system as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing your knowledge and supporting best practices that enhance processes and elevate the donor experience.
  • At mobile events within our communities, you will assist in setting up booths, tables, and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use.

About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-timeDonor Centre Representative to join our dynamic Collections team in our SK-Saskatoondonor centre.

The Collections teamis responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood and blood products in a safe manner to provide patients with lifesaving products every day. In this role, you will beproviding excellent customer service by greeting donors, confirming and rebooking appointments, and responding to questions.

What you can expect
  • Shifts/hours will vary. You must be flexible to accommodate assigned shifts which are based on operational needs; length of shifts varies according to the event which takes place at Canadian Blood Services fixed and mobile donor centers. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Travel will be required for mobile eventsin our communities, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
  • Moderate physical demands - p hysical requirements for the role include the ability to assist with event set-up .
