Job summary

Beacon Community Services Thrift Shops in Sidney, BC, is looking for a part-time Donations Associate to welcome customers and donors, screen and sort donations, and stock shelves at the Depot. The role involves light lifting, driving a Beacon van for deliveries, and assisting volunteers to maintain a clean, organized depot.

You will build positive relationships in the community while following safety guidelines and company policies. The position offers extension health benefits and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs and be on your feet for the shift.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, staff and volunteers at the depot.
• Sort, price, and stock donations following safety guidelines.
• Prepare deliveries to other thrift shops and transport items between Sidney locations.
• Maintain attractive, organized displays and provide excellent customer service.
• Support and assist volunteers to ensure a positive experience.
