Job summary

The Salvation Army Sidney Thrift Store is hiring a Shift Supervisor to support the Store Manager in daily thrift store operations and serve customers and donors with care.

In this full-time, onsite role you will handle cash and debit transactions, assist with inventory and display planning, and train or lead store associates in the absence of the manager. You must be physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and work in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of some high school.
• Two years of experience in a store or warehouse environment.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs on a frequent basis with no assistance.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly manner.
• Process transactions accurately including cash and debit sales.
• Maintain store cleanliness, stock, and inventory control.
• Act as a Team Lead/Working Supervisor in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and store layout improvements.
