Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a night dock worker to unload inbound and load outbound freight, document discrepancies, and maintain a clean yard and warehouse. You will reweigh and cube freight as needed and set up first-delivery loads daily, using a handheld device.

The role requires forklift experience, physical fitness to lift 50 lbs, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Training and growth opportunities are available through our dock-to-driver program.

Qualifications

• Physically fit; able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have forklift experience.
• Computer/handheld experience is an asset.
• Able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to solve problems when they arise.

Job Description

Unloading inbound and loading outbound P&D trailers. Document overages, shortages, and damages on a handheld device. Reweigh and cube freight as required, and keep the yard and warehouse clean.Responsible for claim-free movement and sorting of freight. Heavy lifting required. Ability to safely follow Health & Safety and Company policies. Use a computer to set up first delivery loads of each day.

Monday to Friday, 10 pm - 6 am, with the flexibility to meet freight demands.

Qualifications

• Be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.
