JOB OVERVIEW

District Vice President (DVP) is responsible for developing and implementing a business plan and sales strategy to increase CIGAM’s market share within the territory; develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors; and educate and develop advisor knowledge of CI investment solutions. Acting in collaboration with a Business Development Manager and Sales Associate, a DVP will be assigned and be responsible for achieving the CIGAM gross and net sales targets assigned to the district.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase sales and grow CIGAM’s market share
  • Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
  • Work closely with Sales Associates and Business Development Managers to implement territory plan, prospect and maintain existing relationships (includes providing guidance and coaching)
  • Fully adopt and effectively use CIGAM’s CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
  • Master CIGAM’s investment message
  • Represent CIGAM at regional and national conferences
  • Consistently improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills and efficiencies
  • Maintain above average Environics Advisor Perception rankings
  • Work closely with the National Accounts and BDM to identify and execute on specific firm and advisor initiatives
  • Use deliberate, thoughtful scheduling and calendar management in order to achieve activity targets and to ensure activity corresponds to territory priorities

QUALIFICATION:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity

Education/Training:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance
  • Financial services designations (e.g. CSC, CFP, CIM, CFA, CAIA).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry
  • Advance expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills to provide effective solutions for clients

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Hybrid WFH and Office Position
  • Routine office environment.
  • Role requires travel and attendance at functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours.
