Job summary

SKF Group in Canada seeks a results-driven sales professional to grow SKF Canada OEM within Ontario. You will manage over 150 OEM customers, validate sales potential, and leverage SKF products in their organizations and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Strong business knowledge of the bearing industry.
  • Experience with a computerized CRM system; Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must live in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of the customer base is an asset.

  • Prepare management reports, including weekly customer visits and opportunities.
  • Attend team meetings and trainings within SKF to enhance technical skills.
  • Participate in trade shows to promote SKF products and services.
  • Facilitate training to OEM customers on SKF products and services.

Position Summary

Enhance and maintain sales for SKF Canada OEM within Ontario, Canada. Work with over 150 OEM customers to validate sales potential, identify key elements, and leverage SKF products in their organizations and equipment. Communicate with customers through virtual methods and regular site visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell SKF products and services to existing customers and actively hunt for new customers.
  • Plan, coordinate and organize sales activities within Ontario.

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and SKF stakeholders to build trust and streamline information exchange.
  • Mentor less seasoned team members and share knowledge and experience.
  • Engage and support customers daily to achieve maximum sales volumes.
  • Escalate issues based on customer valuation, size, importance, and urgency per established protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with sales team colleagues, client sales, and SKF cross‑functional roles such as factory and inventory teams.
  • Maintain positive communication and shared outcomes across all parties.
Operational Excellence
  • Track performance metrics: sales volumes, pricing, number of customer visits, and new sales opportunities.
  • Propose quarterly process improvement ideas for internal and customer documentation and online portals.
Strategic Communication
  • Provide high-level verbal and written communication both virtually and in-person.
  • Submit weekly sales opportunity reports and update visits on the C4C platform.
Qualifications
Education

Post-secondary education in a technical field with sales or related equivalent experience.

Experience
  • Strong business knowledge of the bearing industry.
  • Experience working with a computerized CRM system, preferably Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are a welcome asset.
  • Must live in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of the customer base is an asset.
Technical Skills
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude is an asset.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of blueprints and technical drawings is an asset.
Other Requirements

Travel Requirements
  • 75% daily travel within the territory for customer visits.
  • 20% overnight travel per month.
  • Occasional international travel to the US and/or Mexico.
