Job summary

Job description

Aramark Canada is seeking a collaborative and engaging District Marketing Manager (DMM) for multiple accounts within the Greater Toronto Area. This role reports to the Director, Field Marketing and leads the implementation of marketing programs across multiple client accounts. Some travel throughout the GTA is required, so a reliable automobile and valid driver's license are necessary.

In this role, you will be responsible for critical business initiatives, including activating corporate marketing and consumer insights programs, creating and executing account marketing/growth plans, growing the base business, acquiring new sales, retaining clients, creating client value, and enhancing Aramark’s brand health. The DMM collaborates with Marketing & Culinary, on-site operations, and culinary teams while building marketing acumen within their district.

Job Responsibilities

Drive Base Business Growth :

  • Visit district accounts regularly to identify opportunities for business improvements that lead to profitable growth, including recommendations on product, price, merchandising, and promotions.
  • Develop account marketing and growth plans, monthly campaign calendars, and social media content for district accounts.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs, promotions, consumer engagement activities, brand assets, merchandising, and social media communications.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales, transaction counts, average check size, contribution margins, and social media engagement to measure success.
  • Create and implement marketing content and creative assets across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.

Support Regional Implementation of Culinary, Health & Wellness, and Sustainability Programs :

  • Collaborate on program development and regionalization.
  • Ensure training for managers and staff to execute these programs effectively.
  • Customize and implement educational materials for consumers regarding health, wellness, and sustainability.
  • Assist operations with product selection, placement, and pricing strategies supporting wellness and local purchasing goals.
  • Conduct audits and site visits to monitor compliance and enforce standards.

Implement Insights Programs :

  • Execute primary insights programs like Voice of the Consumer, interpret results, and develop action plans to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Define customer segments and conduct annual competitive analyses for each account.

Drive Marketing Acumen :

  • Train operations teams on merchandising, planograms, promotions, and pricing updates.
  • Participate in weekly district operations calls to update on marketing program health and share tips for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, on-site operators, and staff, acting as a marketing resource.

Support New Business and Account Retention :

  • Create and distribute district and key account newsletters.
  • Support district Client Business Reviews and strategic account retention plans.
  • Participate in RFPs and client retention presentations.
  • Prepare marketing materials for business development proposals.
  • Assist with opening plans for new accounts within the district.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality or foodservice.
  • A diploma or degree in marketing or a related field, with strong interest in marketing and sustainability.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to analyze and present marketing results.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and think strategically.
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations and understanding of menus, recipes, and ingredients.
  • Knowledge of Atlantic Canada’s hospitality and foodservice industry is a plus.
