Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Canada seeks a District Manager to lead the newly integrated Industrial & Vacuum Services division across the district, directing hydro excavation, liquid waste transport, and industrial cleaning.

You will manage field crews, fleet dispatch, equipment utilization, and safety compliance while driving sales and key client relationships. This hands-on leadership role collaborates with EHS, HR, and functional managers to maximize uptime, control costs, and deliver service

Qualifications

• University degree in business, science or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in an Operations or Business leadership role.
• Strong background in Industrial Services, Vacuum/Hydrovac, Waste Management, Oil and Gas, Construction, or Fleet Management.
• Valid Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for hydro excavation, liquid waste transport, and industrial cleaning.
• Oversee vacuum fleet dispatch, equipment utilization, and field personnel.
• Drive sales, key account relationships, and cost controls.
• Collaborate with EHS, HR, and managers to maximize uptime and compliance.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and quarterly/annual reports.
