Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a capable operator to safely run industrial vacuum equipment and support on-site services. The role emphasizes adherence to company procedures, client service excellence, and thorough documentation of daily activities.

The candidate should have a valid CDL and at least two years of related vacuum/ hydro-excavation experience, with a strong safety mindset and willingness to respond to after-hours calls. Occasional short travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• 2 years of industrial vacuum truck and/or hydro-excavating experience preferred, with a combo unit.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Safety-focused attitude with experience in industrial settings.
• Knowledge to perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting.
• Follow company policies and procedures and on-site requirements.
• Provide exceptional service to clients and professionally represent GFL.
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and driver logs for NSC compliance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate company documentation for work performed.
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance.
• Participate in safety programs such as safety meetings, near miss reporting and job hazard assessments.
• Work independently while managing time and productivity and communicate effectively.
