Job summary

NTPC – Northwest Territories Power Corporation seeks a Distribution Technologist to join the T&D team. You will coordinate customer service requests, support projects from planning to construction, prepare estimates and contracts, manage material requisitions and provide technical support.

You will collaborate with customers, Crew Leads, engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient delivery while adhering to company standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Engineering Technology from a recognized Institute; minimum two years' experience in electric utility work.
• Equivalencies may be considered for international education; provide Canadian education equivalency or a relevant designation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Projects) and good keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer service requests and distribution projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare customer contracts, service agreements, project estimates, and material requisitions.
• Support engineers and operations staff with basic distribution design and power-flow reviews.
• Assist with inventory planning, procurement, and logistics coordination.
• Maintain and manage work order records and project documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, Indigenous organizations, and external stakeholders.
