Job summary

FortisBC is seeking a Project Lead, Distribution to join its Engineering team. You will lead infrastructure projects that maintain and strengthen energy systems, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and municipal partners to deliver results that benefit customers and communities.

You will mentor others, manage scope, schedules, and budgets, and communicate clearly to keep projects on track. A strong engineering background and PE registration are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years in engineering project delivery in construction, utility ops, or related industries.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and/or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
• PM certifications such as PMP, CAPM, MPM, PPM, CPMP are assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects to maintain and strengthen FortisBC's energy systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, municipalities, and partners to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations; align teams around shared goals.
• Mentor others, foster a positive team environment, and drive continuous improvement.
