At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

The Distribution Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end distribution operations, ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, product integrity, and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader with strong people management skills, financial acumen, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing distribution team to achieve operational goals aligned with company strategy.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback to foster growth and accountability.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily distribution operations, including warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate product delivery while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
Financial & Budget Management
- Plan, manage, and optimize the annual distribution budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and lower operational costs.
Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Maintain high service levels by proactively meeting customer delivery expectations and resolving operational issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales) to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- National customer visitations on an annual basis to understand customer experience.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Lead the Health & Safety Committee, implementing measures to prevent and reduce workplace injuries.
- Ensure adherence to loss prevention and product security protocols.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Leverage Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies to optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging tech solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Lead WMS (Warehouse Management System) enhancements (e.g., barcode scanning, pick-to-voice, automation).
- Spearhead expansion projects and 3PL management as needed.
Disaster Preparedness
- Participate in disaster mitigation and recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
To Be Successful You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of distribution/warehouse management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ERP/WMS proficiency (Oracle preferred).
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive KPIs, and implement process improvements.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
- Experience implementing warehouse automation (e.g., robotics, IoT, predictive analytics).
- Passion for emerging technologies, process innovation and practices continuous learning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
