Job summary

The Beer Store in Bolton, Ontario is seeking a Distribution Coordinator to oversee full goods listings, replenishment, and routing for beer products. This full-time permanent or 14-month contract role reports to the Manager, Forecasting & Replenishment and requires a valid driver’s license for site travel.

The position offers a hybrid work model with office visits three times per week and cross-site coordination with brewers, agents, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience using SAP.
• 2–3 years of experience in inventory management in a retail, logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, including store capacities, delivery constraints, driving distances, and varying store schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels at company sites by managing forecasts and store capacity.
• Monitor stock levels daily and manage brewer fleet routing for efficient deliveries.
• Plan weekly routing of Labatt’s and Molson’s fleets and allocate pallet counts to sites.
• Oversee lobby display programs and collaborate with Space Planning as needed.
• Manage system maintenance for new article listings, expansions, and updates.
• Coordinate new store openings/closures with relevant teams for inventory setup.
• Serve as liaison between Beer Store sites and brewers/agents for distribution inquiries.
• Address inventory/scheduling issues and support unusual circumstances like mold abatement or relocations.
• Provide brewers with ad hoc inventory/order reports.
• Coordinate empty pickups and send daily MT pickup updates.

The Role

We are currently searching for a Distribution Coordinator reporting to the Manager, Forecasting & Replenishment. This vacancy is a full-time permanent or 14-month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing full goods listing activities across Beer Store sites. You will coordinate the distribution of beer products to retail locations and distribution centers, including replenishment, deliveries, redistribution, reverse logistics, and routing for brewers. The position also involves providing support to brewers, agents, and TBS sites, serving as the primary liaison between all parties involved.

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.The incumbent for this role must possess a valid driver’s license with access to transportation for travel to various sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain optimal inventory levels at company sites by managing sales forecasts and adhering to store capacity
• Monitor stock levels daily, address excess inventory through transfers or adjustments, and manage brewer fleet routing to ensure efficient deliveries and quotas
• Perform weekly routing of Labatt’s and Molson’s fleet, including assigning pallet counts to each site to ensure sufficient inventory to support sales while meeting brewers’ quota and store capacity and combining orders to ensure full capacity of each trailer
• Oversee the execution of Lobby Display programs, collaborate with the Space Planning team as necessary
• Manage system maintenance in internal systems for new article listings, brewer expansions, and updates, ensuring accurate supply sources, replenishment types, and delivery schedules
• Oversee activities for new store openings and closures, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure timely setup, inventory ordering, and smooth logistics for stock management
• Serve as the liaison between Beer Store sites and brewers/agents, handling inquiries related to distribution issues, product availability, new listings, and emergency add loads
• Address site concerns on inventory, scheduling changes, providing support for unusual circumstances like mold abatement or store relocations
• Provide brewers with ad hoc reports related to inventory and orders
• Coordinate empty pickups for industry glass in the most efficient and economical manner; send daily documents to brewers to provide them with MT pickup updates
• Other related projects and duties as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of a Post-secondary degree in a related field is required

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience using SAP
• 2-3 years of experience working in inventory management in a retail, logistics or distribution environment
• Must have a strong understanding of logistics operations, including store capacities, delivery constraints, driving distances, and varying store schedules. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to regional distribution specifics

Compensation
