Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Distribution Center Manager to lead a state-of-the-art facility in Kimberley. You will oversee receiving, warehousing, inventory control, order fulfillment and shipping, driving throughput and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has at least eight years in distribution management, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of WMS and safety standards. On-site role with relocation assistance and competitive executive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the distribution center with efficient workflow.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving, warehousing, inventory and shipping.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors and associates to meet targets.
• Enforce strict safety protocols and operational standards for a secure workplace.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze data and implement improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with vendors, carriers and third-party providers.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring high levels of productivity and accuracy, and managing a team of dedicated staff. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in distribution management, and a commitment to safety and quality, contributing to the company's success in the Northern Cape . This is a key management position focused on optimizing throughput and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and shipping processes.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse supervisors and associates to achieve performance targets.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and operational standards to ensure a secure working environment.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with vendors, carriers, and other third-party service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, productivity, and cost management in a warehouse environment.
