Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a term position in Winnipeg to support distribution of medical/surgical items. The role operates in person with a 0.65 FTE workload, typically on daytime shifts, averaging 8.25 hours per day.

The anticipated start date is 08/24/2026 with an indefinite end, subject to collective agreement provisions. The successful candidate will need SAP/ERP familiarity, warehousing experience, and basic computer literacy (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word).

Position Overview
Experience
  • Familiar with the use of ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and databases, procedures and practices.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and method preferred.
  • Six (6) months experience in distribution of medical/surgical items in a health care environment.
  • Experience in maintaining computerized warehouse/distribution centre preferably in a health care environment.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12.
  • Knowledge of the English language consistent with the demands of the position.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word) and able to prove same.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly life and/or move objects up to 20 kg utilizing knowledge and applicable body mechanics.
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, Prairie Crocus Manor, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
