Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver seeks a skilled software engineer to help build and operate the RDS control plane infrastructure at scale, spanning database internals, distributed storage, and high-availability architecture to protect customer data.

You will own development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence of services, collaborate across teams on shared infrastructure, and help right-size systems for the next decade of growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate systems protecting customer data and ensuring RDS control plane reliability.
• Own architecture, testing, deployment, and operational excellence of services.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve shared infrastructure and right-size systems for growth.
