Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help design and operate the S3 distribution plane at scale. You will contribute to routing billions of requests across a globally distributed fleet and work on highly durable storage services.

You will design and build systems involving DNS, IP, TLS, VPC Endpoints and private connectivity, collaborating with teams like Route 53, EC2 and Networking to ship code frequently and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience in scalable systems.
• Experience programming in at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and maintain the operational health of services at scale.
• Collaborate with teams across AWS to build DNS, networking and security solutions in code.
• Mentor junior engineers; participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure.
