Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the RDS Aurora Control Plane team in Toronto. You will shape the roadmap and mentor engineers building a highly available, scalable database control plane that automates lifecycle management from creation to failover.

You will partner with product, engineering, and leadership to deliver enterprise-grade solutions, drive best practices across the SDLC, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture that delivers results for AWS customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
3+ years engineering team management experience.
7+ years of engineering experience.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
