Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

The Dispensary & Satellite Service Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operations of the fertility dispensary and leads the delivery of PCRM satellite services. This role supports the safe, efficient, and patient-centred delivery of medication services, including medication and supply inventory, ordering, storage and handling, vendor coordination, documentation, quality, and compliance.

Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing, administrative, and clinical teams, the Coordinator supports timely medication access, coordinates satellite service requirements, and contributes to the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including participation in a scheduled weekend rotation.

Education & Experience
  • Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program or equivalent pharmacy-related education.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in a pharmacy, dispensary, or medication-related healthcare environment.
  • Experience with medication inventory management, ordering, storage, handling, and related dispensary processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use PharmaNet, electronic health record systems, and other clinic technologies.
  • Experience supporting policies, procedures, and SOPs is preferred.
  • Experience in fertility, specialty pharmacy, or another specialized healthcare environment is an asset.
  • Experience coordinating healthcare services or patient care processes across multiple locations is an asset.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy and dispensary operations, including medication handling, storage, inventory control, ordering, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety, quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and appropriately escalation concerns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities for process and workflow improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical teams, administrative teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to support the development and consistent application of policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs, including participation in a scheduled weekend rotation.

Schedule: Monday to Friday | Available weekends as needed
