Harmac Transportation in North York/Hamilton, ON, is seeking a Driver Coordinator to manage driver schedules, dispatch loads, and ensure on-time, safe deliveries. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities and offers a full-time permanent position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

You’ll be the hub of driver communications, coordinate loads in the TMW system, and collaborate with the operations team to maintain schedules and safety

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in transportation or logistics; dispatch experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of ELD systems and TMW software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills—you're the calm in the storm.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• A team-player attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.

• Dispatch loads to drivers, sharing all relevant details such as shift plans, truck assignments, and route information.
• Confirm load deliveries, update systems, and escalating issues promptly to management.
• Be the go-to person for drivers—answering questions, resolving challenges, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Monitor safety, service incidents, and performance metrics to keep operations on track.
• Support operations by managing calls and providing real-time solutions.
• Collaborate with the broader operations team to ensure every load, route, and driver stays on schedule.
