Job summary

Harmac Transportation is seeking a Driver Coordinator to serve as the central contact for drivers, coordinating schedules, dispatches, and load deliveries. The role emphasizes clear communication, organized problem-solving, and hands-on support to keep operations efficient.

The position is based in Ontario (North York or Hamilton) with standard Monday–Friday hours and a competitive compensation package. Experience with TMW and ELD systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics; dispatch experience is a strong asset.
• Proficiency with ELD systems and TMW software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain driver schedules—keeping communication clear and consistent.
• Receive and verify customer orders in the TMW system and schedule loads efficiently.
• Dispatch loads to drivers, sharing all relevant details such as shift plans, truck assignments, and route information.
• Confirm load deliveries, update systems, and escalating issues promptly to management.
• Be the go-to person for drivers—answering questions, resolving challenges, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Monitor safety, service incidents, and performance metrics to keep operations on track.
• Support operations by managing calls and providing real-time solutions.
• Collaborate with the broader operations team to ensure every load, route, and driver stays on schedule.
