Job summary

T-Lane Transportation in Edmonton, AB is hiring a Dispatcher with Ocean Container experience to join our growing team. You will manage orders from entry to billing, dispatch drivers, and keep customers updated until POD completion.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of dispatcher experience in transportation, knowledge of Canadian shipping regulations, and proficiency with TMW and Microsoft Office. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and a collaborative, diverse work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dispatcher in the transportation field with 3 years minimum experience required.
• Experience in scheduling trucks for live orders and projects.
• Experience and knowledge of Canadian shipping regulations and practices.
• Ocean Container dispatch experience is required for this role.
• Proactive, able to identify early on any potential issues, and to implement solutions.
• Experience with TMW and Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Entering orders into TMW and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing.
• Maintaining constant communication with drivers as well as customers.
• Dispatching deliveries and preplanning freight for return trips.

Job Responsibilities

As the dispatcher, you are responsible from the beginning of the process to the end. Entering the orders into TMW and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until the POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing. To do this you are in constant communication with drivers as well as our customers. You will be responsible for dispatching deliveries, preplanning freight for return trips.
