Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling in Alberta is seeking a full-time Dispatch Assistant in Legal, AB until January 2027. The role supports daily dispatch and shipping operations by coordinating drivers, scheduling shipments, and maintaining records.

The position requires strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Onsite role with overtime potential and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or related environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities with drivers, routes, and pickups.
• Maintain communication with drivers on schedules and updates.
• Monitor transportation schedules and report delays.
• Support load planning and routing to maximize efficiency.
• Assist Transportation Supervisor with dispatch functions.
• Schedule inbound/outbound shipments and prepare shipping documents.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, customers, and internal departments.
• Enter operational data and track shipment information.
• Provide vacation coverage and assist with special projects.
• Support cross-functional operational activities as needed.
