Job summary

Silvertip Resort in Canmore, AB is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support the kitchen team in a busy resort environment. You will help keep dishes and equipment clean, and assist with banquet and staff dining prep as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
• Capable of the safe operation of kitchen equipment such as fryers, slicers, and grills.

• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keep all equipment and work areas clean, safe, and in proper order.
• Ensure dishes, equipment and small wares are cleaned and sanitized.
• Comply with sanitation standards and Health Department regulations.
• Transport and store dishes, equipment, and small wares.
• Maintain clean refrigeration, storage and work areas.
• Assist with kitchen prep items as needed.
• Assist in proper banquet and staff cafeteria breakdown procedures.
• Remove garbage and recycling.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always keep all equipment and work areas clean and safe and in proper working order.
• Ensure dishes, equipment, and small wares are consistently cleaned and sanitized.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation standards and Health Department regulations.
• Responsible for the transportation and storage of all dishes, equipment, and small wares
• Keeps all refrigeration, storage and working areas in cleaning working order by sweeping, mopping, wiping, and sanitizing.
• Assist with cleaning, peeling, and cutting kitchen prep items as needed.
• Assist in proper breakdown procedures for banquets and staff cafeteria.
• Removes garbage, cardboard, and recycling.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Be continually aware of and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Lifting or moving up to 50lbs.

Hourly Wage: $18-$20 plusgratuities
