Job summary

Algonquin Students’ Association is seeking a part-time Dish Washer to support the Observatory, Wolves Den, and Students' Association Catering services. This role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining kitchen equipment while upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Reporting to the Manager, Culinary Operations, the incumbent will perform shift change, closing duties, and ensure timely completion of sanitation logs.

Qualifications

• OWHSA certification required.
• WHMIS certification required.
• Willingness to work non-traditional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans and cutlery.
• Operate dish machines and cleaning equipment per schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors and related areas.
• Record sanitation logs and daily maintenance checks.
• Inform supervisor of issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Complete shift changes and closing duties.
• Foster a positive work environment with staff and guests.
