Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada, based in Longueuil, is seeking a Disaster Recovery and Resilience Coordinator to lead the development, testing, and maintenance of the DRP for critical IT systems. This on-site role requires collaboration with IT, business units, and external vendors to ensure robust recovery procedures and regulatory alignment.

The role emphasizes documentation, risk assessment, and training to strengthen business continuity and resilience across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Continuity, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery principles (RTOs, RPOs) and backup strategies.
• Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and testing DR plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Disaster Recovery Plan for critical IT systems and infrastructure.
• Plan and coordinate disaster recovery tests and simulations to assess procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to align recovery procedures with BC requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date DR documentation, including procedures and contact lists.
• Oversee backup and recovery solutions to meet recovery objectives.
• Coordinate recovery efforts during a disaster and restore IT systems and operations.
• Provide training and guidance on DR procedures to staff.
• Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve DR plans.
