Job description

The Return to Work Team Lead is responsible for managing the Disability team and handling cases within the Retail Division. This includes submitting documents, reviewing policies related to benefits or services, and coordinating other disability-related services.

Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in a disability management team
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to return-to-work and workers' compensation laws
  • Certification such as CDMP or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Ability to work effectively both as a key team member and independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills for difficult and complex issues
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the RTW program and case management
  • Collaborate with outside providers, healthcare providers, managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure effective and timely claims management
  • Monitor claims and support defense claims
  • Provide support and guidance to employees throughout the return-to-work process
  • Develop, train, and review data related to wellness programs
  • Share knowledge and guidance with the team regarding best practices in claims management policies
