  • Oversee Onboarding Process Redesign initiatives to improve speed, consistency, and compliance.
  • Establish and chair Global Service & Controls Governance Committee with geographic leads.
  • Lead coordination of audit finding remediation including evidence-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize HR Initiatives against strategic alignment.

What is the Opportunity?

RBC offers an exciting role as a Director, Worker Screening & Onboarding Governance. In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of globally consistent worker screening and onboarding processes and controls. This role serves as the design authority and control steward for all geographic regions, ensuring alignment with RBC’s relevant policies, Operational Risk Framework, regulatory requirements, and service quality standards.

What will you do?
  • Act as the design authority of globally standardized worker screening and onboarding processes and associated controls aligned with RBC’s policies and regulatory requirements
  • Develop comprehensive control framework for HR Operations addressing identity verification, background checks, pre-employment and periodic screening, data integrity, and segregation of duties
  • Oversee Worker Screening Change Program which includes Onboarding Process Redesign initiatives to improve speed, consistency, control effectiveness, and compliance
  • Establish and chair Global Service & Controls Governance Committee with geographic leads to review KPI, assess regional compliance, address deviations, oversee issue remediation, and elevate material issues
  • Lead the coordination of audit finding remediation including tracking of timely and quality remediation, maintenance of audit-ready documentation for evidence validation and examination and associated oversight reporting for senior leadership awareness
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to inform prioritization of HR Operations initiatives against strategic alignment, maximum impact, and delivery requirements

  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation and process improvements in a large organization.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with external stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively communicate innovation strategies and plans to senior leaders, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Storytelling: Ability to craft and deliver compelling stories that illustrate the value and impact of innovation initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct benefit realization analysis and measure the success of change initiatives.
  • Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise ORM principles, KRI development, and risk appetite definition. Ability to translate risk requirements into effective, testable controls; design control matrices and risk/control alignment
  • Change Management: Experience in managing and implementing change initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with HR systems, processes, and technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
