The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Manager, Underwriting Enablement – Commercial Lines to lead national initiatives and elevate underwriting operations. • Minimum 10 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, with at least 3 years in leadership capacity preferred.
• Post-secondary degree (CIP/CRM or equivalent) considered an asset.
• Proven leadership ability to influence, build trust, and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, with strong negotiation skills.
• Strong background in process improvement, operational excellence and workflow design.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Analytics, problem-solving and strategic execution capabilities.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead national initiatives that align with enterprise priorities to enhance underwriting operations.
• Monitor initiative performance with improvements in efficiency, accuracy and speed via technology, automation, and digital capabilities.
• Drive adoption of AI, automation, and digital capabilities that enhance underwriting experience and data-driven decision making.
• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to underwriting and operational leaders by strengthening underwriting effectiveness.
• Translate business needs into practical tools, training, coaching, and process improvements across underwriting teams.
• Lead a team building sustainable underwriting capability through learning, knowledge management, and resources.
• Coordinate with Learning & Development, Technology, and other teams to integrate talent, knowledge, tools, and technology.
