About the role
We are seeking a Director of Talent Management to lead and innovate our talent management strategy, ensuring a robust pipeline of top-tier talent. This role includes developing succession plans for key positions and overseeing our Internal Career Center. The Director will also collaborate with HR leadership across business units to align talent initiatives and support career development and internal mobility.
What you'll do here:
Talent Management Strategy:
Lead and transform the talent management strategy, encompassing assessment, reviews, succession planning, and development
Utilize data-driven insights to inform and optimize talent management decisions and measure program effectiveness
Champion continuous improvement by consistently evaluating and enhancing talent management processes to maintain organizational agility.
Cultivate a talent-centric culture, prioritizing the development, engagement, and retention of top talent to drive business success.
Ensure a robust pipeline of top-tier talent by identifying and developing the necessary skills to meet the future needs of the company.
Identify key talents within the organization and develop targeted development plans to retain and grow these individuals.
Develop and implement an internal mobility management strategy to facilitate the strategic movement of talent within the organization.
Ensure that employees have visibility into internal career opportunities and support their transitions into new roles.
Create and manage succession plans for key positions and management roles to ensure leadership continuity and organizational stability.
Conduct Executive Talent reviews with different lines of business and cross-functionally.
Develop and deploy assessment and reporting tools to better identify, assess and progress talent
Identify opportunities to drive a data driven approach to Talent Management and derive insights to enable decision making,
Risk Analysis and Critical Role Identification:
Strategically analyze risks associated with talent management and identify critical roles within the organization.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure continuity in key positions.
Career Development and Internal Career Center Management:
Oversee the strategic operations of the Internal Career Center, ensuring it provides valuable self-service tools for various career stages.
Develop and implement career development programs and initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
Collaboration with stakeholders:
Collaborate with the Talent Partners and HR leaders from our various business units to ensure alignment and integration of talent management initiatives.
Share best practices and develop cohesive strategies to address the unique needs of each business unit.
What you bring to the table:
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a talent management or human resource’s role, with significant leadership experience.
Proven expertise in developing and implementing talent management strategies.
Exhibit strong executive presence, effectively communicating and influencing at all levels of the organization
Innovative mindset and ability to bring new ideas to improve existing processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and critical roles within the organization.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
