Job summary

Parkland County is seeking a Director, Strategic Growth to lead strategic planning and oversee Economic Growth and Land Management. The role reports to the General Manager, Corporate Services and drives initiatives to diversify the county’s economy while aligning with our values and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years in strategic growth, with strong leadership, budgeting and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of experience in strategic growth with leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to motivate staff and build relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Strong oral and written communication, report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in managerial accounting and budget overview.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight to ensure operational alignment with county values and objectives.
• Lead departmental strategic planning, budgeting, policy development and project oversight.
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to diversify the county’s economic base.
