Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is based in North Kingstown, RI.

The Director of Product Management will lead the end-to-end product management lifecycle, from defining strategy to execution, ensuring the successful development and launch of innovative products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. This leadership role will collaborate with engineering, marketing, design, and other cross-functional teams, representing Hayward as an industry expert while building and mentoring a high-performing product management team.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning : Develop and update 3-year product line business plans and 5-year product portfolio plans, aligning with company goals.
  • Market Leadership : Represent Hayward as the expert for assigned product lines, driving "Voice of the Customer" insights through research and field engagement.
  • Product Lifecycle Management : Champion new product development, ensuring on-time, on-budget launches and successful market introductions.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Business Management : Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and demand forecasting to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Align product strategies with organizational objectives, ensuring seamless execution across engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Marketing Support : Guide the creation of collateral, events, and product-specific campaigns to support product strategy and new product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and measurable business impact.
  • Expertise in new product development, demand forecasting, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and reporting skills, with knowledge of marketing, engineering, and supply chain functions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging executive teams and customers.
  • LEAN training and project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Project and digital marketing tools is a plus.

Travel Requirements This role requires 25%-35% travel, including visits to customer sites, trade shows, R&D partners, and suppliers.
