Job Overview:
Responsible for management and / or execution in all activities related to the marketing, business development and product management of the graphics product portfolio in co-ordination with the VP of Graphics.

What the job is all about:
- Work closely with the Vice President – Graphics (VPOP) to ensure that product line objectives are aligned with company objectives and strategies.
- Build long-term strategic plan for graphics with supporting data.
- Assess current state of the business.
- Build data-driven short and long-term roadmap.
- Identify high-growth areas and potential investments.
- Build pricing strategies and financial models to support plan.
- Present and share strategic plan with key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new market applications and partnerships.
Marketing & Competitive
- Build value propositions for all applications involving key graphics products.
- Oversee the development and execution of all marketing activities for the graphics product portfolio, working closely with our Corporate Marketing Team and ensuring alignment of the Product Management team within graphics.
- Work with corporate marketing team on various marketing initiatives: collaterals, website, videos, campaigns.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
- Gather and analyze market and competitive information.
- Review articles in trade publications to keep abreast of technological developments in types of professional equipment merchandised.
- Attend key industry / thought leadership events. Represent the Ross graphics portfolio at these events where needed.
Business Planning, Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor business performance with KPIs and develop countermeasures when KPIs are not met.
- Forecast revenue / bookings through pipeline analysis and funnel math.
- Work with manufacturing on demand forecasting and impacts on supply chain.
- Build and track OPEX & CAPEX budgets.
- Build and update P&L models, in collaboration with the finance team.
- Provide regular product line performance updates to the graphics team and Ross Video Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Lead the graphics product management team and business development team to develop and execute annual sales targets and execution strategies.
- Drive to achieve and exceed forecasted sales, gross margin, cash flow and profitability targets for the portfolio.
- Develop strategy with the business development team to ensure marketing and sales are aligned and the sales organization is well supported in their execution.
- Help with sales tactics and implementation in business tools (eg: Salesforce): price adjustments, bundling, special offers.
- Communicate portfolio strategy and product update to sales, business partners and other key staff.
- Advise and assist Ross sales staff and channel partners in the sales of graphics solutions.
- Deliver presentations to end users and business partners to strengthen Ross Graphics’ positioning and secure future sales.
Management
- Inspire and influence the graphics and extended Ross team. Push for creativity and breakthrough results in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Ensure constructive and peaceful collaboration with other Ross stakeholders.
- Build and structure an effective organization.
- Day-to-day management of key staff.
- Conduct midyear / end of year reviews and merit increase.
- Coach & mentor high potential employees and assist with career development where needed.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or significant product management experience at an executive level. MBA considered an asset.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a product line leadership role
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the broadcast industry
- Proven ability to collaborate, influence and execute plans.
- Strong demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills.
- Strong and proven quantitative skills.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Innovative thinker with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Proven track record for generating results
