Job summary

RBC Direct Investing is seeking a Director, Operations Strategy and Initiatives to join the technology and operations group. You’ll oversee a team of product managers, driving platform-changing capabilities and significant P&L impact across the DI operations backbone.

Your role will optimize costs and deliver large-scale improvements for clients and the business. You will work with executives and cross-functional leaders to execute multi-year roadmaps across Wealth Management Operations, Contact

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading initiatives across functional groups.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high-quality results.
• Experience with P&L and drivers of NIE (allocated vs direct).
• Ability to interface with all management levels, including executives.
• Strong leadership with vendor relationships and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and oversee transformational RBC Direct Investing initiatives related to the DI Contact Centre, Wealth Management Operations and trade order infrastructure to maximize business efficiency.
• Manage a team of Operations Product owners delivering quick wins and large changes affecting the DI P&L.
• Support the development and execution of multi-year strategic roadmaps across Wealth Management Operations, Contact Center Operations, and Trading Operations.
• Manage, report, and drive opportunities to transform the entire cost portfolio across DI from forecast to actuals.
• Own multiple third party relationships critical to the Direct Investing platform (market data, tech capabilities).
• Act as liaison with heads of Advice & Contact Centres, Wealth Management and Banking for cross-business initiatives including cost allocation negotiations.
