Job description

As the Lead Architect and Director of Product Security Architecture for Dematic, you will be critical to the advancement of security throughout the company, enabling the success and growth of the business in an environment of increasing demands for comprehensive and robust product security. Under the Vice President of Global Product Security, you will provide strategic and technically informed security leadership to the product development, sales, and support organizations across Dematic.

You will be responsible for defining a broad and detailed technical security strategy that encompasses all Dematic products, including next-generation software solutions, existing software solutions, and operational technology solutions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the development of secure products and their operation in a secure environment by providing architectural guidance and vision, while pursuing excellence in security practices.

You will collaborate with senior leadership and engineering teams to define and implement the vision and strategy of the Product Security organization. You will inspire and support teams to enhance their security knowledge and practices, proactively defending systems and data from attacks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As an integral member of a collaborative organization, you will continuously grow your technical expertise to protect our organization, customers, and communities.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will depend on factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What You Will do in This Role :

• Provide strategic security leadership to global product teams.
• Define and implement security strategies for all Dematic products.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape the security vision and strategy.
• Advance technical and operational security capabilities.
• Integrate security into all aspects of product development for software and operational technology.
• Perform security risk assessments of products and systems.
• Advise and educate teams on security best practices and automation.
• Build collaborative relationships across departments.
• Mentor security engineers and champions worldwide.
• Respond to security incidents.
• Stay informed on industry trends and engage with industry leaders.
• Research and present on security technologies and threats.
• Work with product teams to ensure security resilience.
• Engage with sales, support, and other functions to support business development from a security perspective.

What We Are Looking For :

• Deep knowledge of application and cloud security principles and techniques.
• Expertise in threat modeling.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure security models.
• Broad knowledge of cloud services and their security characteristics.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management.
• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in cryptography and security tools such as Burp Suite, Kali Linux.
• Ability to evaluate risk mitigation strategies and make business-conscious decisions.
• Comfort in decision-making under uncertainty.
• Collaborative mindset and passion for learning.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and optimistic.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
