Job summary

Deel seeks a Director of Product Design to own design across a major Deel platform area. You’ll lead a team of designers, set craft standards, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape strategy and execution.

The role demands already operating at Director level with a proven ability to raise the bar and drive impact across a global product. You’ll influence cross-functional stakeholders, drive AI-enabled experiences, and contribute to scalable design org practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Product Design, with current or recent Director level scope.
• Proven track record leading large design teams (7+ designers).
• Experience in growth-stage SaaS/technology, fintech, or HR/workforce products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a design team (5–9 designers) in a flat structure and set craft standards.
• Shape area strategy with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Raise the design bar through hands-on leadership and accountability.
• Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
