Position Summary

The Director of Operations is a Registered Nurse responsible for delivering contract services within an area or region. The role involves working with management to determine and monitor strategic plans, establishing clinical quality oversight, and maintaining positive client relationships.

Essential Functions

• Serve as liaison with clients to ensure satisfaction and business growth.
• Manage regional resources and support contract implementation.
• Implement and monitor clinical quality oversight.
• Participate in marketing and sales efforts.
• Maintain public relations and interface with government officials.
• Prepare reports for senior management.
• Develop staffing schedules and monitor labor management.
• Approve staffing changes and timesheets.
• Manage personnel attendance and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain communication with clinical services and review risk management issues.
• Work with recruiting for staffing needs and coordinate training.
• Enforce HR policies and coordinate safety and emergency procedures.
• Mentor and coach staff, evaluate operational efficiency, and lead special projects.
• Visit facilities regularly and participate in training and meetings.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state, board-certified or board-eligible.
• Minimum of 7 years (Master’s) or 8 years (Bachelor’s) healthcare management experience.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Security clearance required.

Minimum Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Team player with leadership skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and interact tactfully with others.
• No threat to health or safety of others.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office environment.
• Travel required, including driving and overnight stays.
• Standing, walking, or lifting as needed for tours and audits.
