Job summary

Acuity Inc. seeks a Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead our sites in the US, Canada, and France, partnering with site leaders to remove barriers and drive daily improvements while respecting local cultures.

You will translate priorities into practical execution, coach Focus Factory Managers, and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment across diverse teams. Bilingual English/French is expected.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain to optimize material flow and distribution efficiency.
• Align demand, production, and inventory priorities across Sales, IBP, and Supply Chain teams.

Job Summary

The Director, Manufacturing Operations helps our manufacturing sites in the United States, Canada, and France perform at their best. Working side by side with site leaders, this person connects the teams, removes barriers, shares what works, and creates the conditions for people to improve every day, while respecting the culture and reality of each site.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations and working closely with the Focus Factory Managers, this role turns Operations priorities into practical execution. The Director brings people together, keeps the teams focused on what matters, and supports a culture where ideas are welcomed, problems are addressed openly, and everyone can contribute to better results.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and service objectives across sites in the US, Canada, and France.
• Embed practical continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving into daily site operations.
• Facilitate cross-site collaboration to standardize best practices and deliver sustainable performance.

Manufacturing, Logistics & Distribution Execution

• Coordinate plant execution, warehousing, and distribution to meet customer lead times and inventory goals.
• Translate operational strategy into actionable site-level KPI frameworks, routines, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Supply Chain to optimize material flow, supply continuity, and distribution efficiency.

End-to-End Operational Flow

• Align demand, production, and inventory priorities across Sales, IBP, and Supply Chain teams.
• Proactively resolve operational gaps, balancing service levels, capacity, cost, and risk mitigation.
• Translate executive priorities into multi-site execution plans in partnership with Engineering, Quality, and Finance.

People Engagement & Leadership

• Coach Focus Factory Managers, empowering site-level accountability and decision-making.
• Build a unified, collaborative culture across multicultural teams that recognizes performance and drives accountability.
• Strengthen leadership succession, talent development, and critical knowledge retention across all locations.
