Job summary

General Motors in Oshawa is seeking a strategic leader to direct all technical manufacturing operations on a full-time basis. You will oversee engineering, facilities, maintenance, IT and training teams, driving continuous improvement and achieving production goals while managing costs and safety culture.

You will lead a large salaried workforce across multiple shifts, collaborate with corporate planning teams, and act as the plant’s single voice in technical and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Extensive automotive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven leadership with ability to motivate teams and drive change.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all technical manufacturing activities.
• Provide strategic direction to engineering, facilities, maintenance, IT and training teams.
• Drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and KPIs.
• Ensure safety culture and workplace safety ownership campus-wide.
• Forecast and plan for production schedules and project execution.
