À L\'Abordage Microbrasserie is seeking a Director of Finance (CPA) to lead the finance function across multiple sites in Quebec and internationally, reporting to the CEO. The role is a strategic partner to management, overseeing accounting, treasury, taxation, consolidation, and internal controls, with multi-currency and cross-border responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has CPA, 10+ years in finance, 5+ in management, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Minimum 10 years in finance with at least 5 in a management role.
• Experience in a multi-site environment with subsidiaries or international locations.
• Knowledge of multi-currency consolidation and international tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, treasury, taxation, and internal controls.
• Oversee multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation and financial statements.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closings meet deadlines.
• Manage currency exposure and international treasury issues.
• Coordinate international taxation, transfer pricing, and compliance.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and dashboards site by site.
• Analyze profitability and advise on business decisions.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and partners.

Our client is a well-established company with multiple sites in Quebec and internationally. In the midst of its growth, the company wishes to strengthen its management team by welcoming a trusted individual to lead all of its finances.

Our Client

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the management team and managers at each site, both domestically and internationally.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial activities (accounting, treasury, taxation, internal control)
• Oversee multi-entity and multi-currency financial consolidation and the production of financial statements
• Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in accordance with deadlines
• Manage currency exposure and international treasury issues
• Coordinate international taxation, transfer pricing, and compliance across the various jurisdictions
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards, site by site
• Analyze profitability and formulate recommendations to support business decisions
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners
• Harmonize internal processes and controls
• Participate in growth projects

Your Profile

• CPA designation
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, including 5 years in a management role
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-site environment, including subsidiaries or international locations
• Knowledge of multi-currency consolidation and international tax issues
• Proficient in managing remote teams and
• Ability to work with different time zones and business cultures
• Solid mastery of financial management tools and ERP systems [e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, to be specified]
• Inspiring leadership, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills
• Bilingualism in French and English (another language is an asset)
