Job summary

Our Place Peel is seeking a Director of Development & Fundraising to provide strategic leadership for fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships to support the organization’s mission and long-term growth. The role will develop innovative fundraising strategies, strengthen donor relationships, and drive revenue growth through major gifts, grants, and events.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in fundraising, non-profit management, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience in not-for-profit environments.
• CFRE designation is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and achieve fundraising targets and donor pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.
• Own the annual fundraising strategy and plan with budget and revenue targets.
• Manage a portfolio of prospective and current donors, including major gifts and corporate partnerships.
• Oversee donor communications materials and thank you programs.
• Align all communications and marketing efforts with the fundraising strategy.
• Identify new funding opportunities, grants, sponsorships and donor insights.
• Plan and execute social media to support fundraising goals.
• Prepare funding proposals, grant applications and donor communications.
• Coordinate and deliver fundraising activities and events.
• Identify opportunities for third-party fundraising and outreach.
• Represent the organization at community events to share impact and encourage involvement.
• Cultivate relationships to increase financial resources and monitor fundraising progress.
