Job summary

Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a Director of Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising program, align strategies with the organization’s five‑year plan, and deepen donor engagement across the giving continuum.

The role reports to the Executive Director, guides a high‑performing team, and partners with Marketing to communicate impact while ensuring fiscal integrity and donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Progressive fundraising experience in a charitable organization with a proven track record of achieving financial goals.
• Ability to analyze fundraising challenges, identify growth opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
• Experience managing a donor-centered fundraising program including annual, major, and legacy giving.
• Skilled in building relationships with donors, volunteers, and internal teams to foster philanthropy.
• Experience working with board members and senior volunteers in a fundraising capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive fundraising program including annual, major, and legacy gifts.
• Develop and refine strategies aligned with the organization’s five-year fundraising plan.
• Supervise and mentor the Development Officer and guide staff in fundraising activities.
• Enhance donor engagement, stewardship, and communications demonstrating impact.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and Programs to ensure fundraising compliance and effectiveness.
• Identify new revenue channels and opportunities while maintaining high ethical standards.
