Job summary

MPI in Oakville is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead construction projects from inception to completion. You will oversee project plans, budgets, and schedules while ensuring high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will mentor PMs and coordinators, build client relationships, review contracts, and contribute to strategic planning and business development. This is a permanent Ontario-based role with a salary range CAD 120000–150000.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight throughout all phases of commercial construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Support project teams by identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Monitor project performance, financials, schedules, procurement, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review contracts, project budgets, schedules, and change orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Participate in executive planning, forecasting, and business strategy discussions.
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, client meetings, and strategic initiatives when required.
