Job summary

Vivid Solutions is seeking a Director of Professional Services to lead client delivery across portfolios, manage budgets and scale our delivery practice in Victoria. You will coach portfolio and project leaders and act as the primary client contact on delivery topics.

You have 7+ years of senior management in professional services, 5+ years in IT project/program management, and a track record of building governance, reporting and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of client-facing senior management experience in professional services, including delivery operations and contract management.
• 5+ years of project or portfolio management experience on medium to large IT projects, including program-level budgets, risks and issues.
• Proven experience leading and coaching project managers or delivery leads.
• Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects or portfolios with budgets of $1M–$5M.
• Experience in a billable delivery leadership role balancing utilization with management responsibilities.
• Experience across the full lifecycle of custom software development, delivery and support with Agile practices.
• Experience establishing or improving portfolio governance, delivery standards or reporting.
• Strong communication, judgement, and ability to lead executive-level discussions.
• Post-secondary education in IT, business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery on assigned client portfolios and projects, owning plans, budgets, scope, risks and status reporting.
• Oversee delivery health across all client portfolios and address at-risk work early.
• Assign and balance delivery leadership across portfolios with clear ownership and capacity.
• Establish portfolio reviews and reporting for leadership visibility into delivery and finances.
• Lead, coach and develop portfolio and project leaders and address performance.
• Recruit for delivery roles and build a pipeline of future leaders.
• Build trusted client relationships to support satisfaction, renewals and growth.
• Contribute to proposals and procurement responses and identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with architecture, design and technology teams to improve delivery models and tools.
