• Monitor and ensure clinical care processes are delivered in accordance with individual resident care plans.
• Lead, implement, and oversee clinical programs, including falls prevention, skin and wound care, continence care, and pain management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, provincial regulations, and applicable long-term care legislation.
• Promote a resident-centered approach by engaging residents, families, and team members.
• Foster a positive working environment for staff and external care providers.
• Manage the nursing budget, monitor expenditures, and collaborate with the Executive Director to address variances.
• Participate in strategic planning and accreditation initiatives.
• Uphold nursing practice standards in accordance with the College of Nurses.
• Evaluate and maintain staffing schedules consistent with the nursing budget and applicable collective agreements.
• Identify staff learning needs and coordinate continuing professional development opportunities.
• Oversee the effective delivery and evaluation of clinical programs and Quality committees, including Resident Safety and Professional Advisory Committees.
• Comply with organizational Health and Safety Policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post-diploma education (asset).
• Gerontological Nurse Certification (GNC) is considered an asset.
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in the long-term care sector (Ontario).
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting (Ontario).
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience with computerized documentation systems.
